COMPANY PROFILE
Netsystem was incorporated in Milan (Italy) in March, 2000, to offer services to Italian and European
PC end users through a satellite connection.
Netsystem is the first Company to offer a broadband Internet connection
via satellite to a wide customer base of over 100,000 users in Italy
(June 2004), positioning the Company as the second broadband operator
in the country. It is the easiest, most reliable way of providing
a broadband connection able to satisfy the increasing demand for fast
Internet access anywhere in Europe. All the user needs is a small
satellite dish pointed at 9,0° East, a standard DVB card for the PC and a traditional
analogue modem.
INTERNET CONNECTION SERVICES
Netsystem's Internet connection services are based on Unicast transmission: the user connects to the
Netsystem POP through its phone modem, while the data delivery is provided via satellite through the
satellite dish connected to the PC's DVB card.
Thanks to the footprint of the Eurobird satellites, Netsystem users can have immediate Broadband Internet
access to a vast number of customer even in the remote areas not served by other DSL sevices.
- SAT ADSL allows Internet surfing and downloading at speeds
up to 300 kbps for 1.5 Gigabytes of data per month: the customer doesn't need to change its existing ISP
connection. The service is available throughout Europe.
