FAQ
Netsystem, with the one-way SAT ADSL service, provides a fast connection to the Internet in all areas not reached by terrestrial ADSL.

SAT ADSL service works through the simultaneous use of a telephone connection to the POP of your usual Internet provider for data transmission and of the satellite link for broadband data reception.

Requirements for the use of SAT ADSL service:

an ordinary analogue modem (link to provider);
a Sat Modem or any other common DVB card;
a satellite dish, the same used for the reception of digital TV,
pointed towards the Eurobird satellite at 9.0° East.

1. All the requests you submit are sent by your terrestrial modem and received by your Internet provider

2. Netsystem recovers the content you require from the Internet

3. While the other ISPs send you what you requested via terrestrial modem, Netsystem sends it, in real time via satellite, allowing the broadband transmission of data directly to your PC (where it is received by the satellite modem connected to the satellite dish).

Briefly, to get the ADSL via satellite is very simple:

data transmission (the upstream channel) is managed through your normal telephone line while data reception at high speed (the downstream channel) is provided via satellite through the satellite dish you already use to see the satellite digital channels.
